Snooky Powell

Dover - Snooky Powell passed away Sunday, Dec. 20, 2015, in his home, surrounded by his loving family. Snooky was born Apr. 20, 1936, in Dover to the late, Casper & Madeline (Tribbett) Powell. Mr. Powell was employed with Diamond State Telephone for 35 years; and had also worked as a realtor for Lore-Ellis Realty for many years. He was a lifetime member & past chief of the Magnolia Fire Company; a member of the Union Lodge #7, Free & Accepted Masons, of Dover; a lifelong member of the Maple Dale Country Club; and a life member and past president of the Otter Run Fish & Game Club. He was an avid hunter, fisherman & sportsman; who enjoyed playing cards. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Deats Powell, who passed in 2007. Snooky is survived by his daughter, Patti Fransisco & husband, Paul; two step-sons, Mike Williams & his wife, Pam; and Brett Williams & his wife, Karen; his sister, Diane Cahall & husband, Donald; four grandchildren, Ryan Fransisco & wife, Megan; Zach, Zoey, & Weston Williams; two great-grandchildren, Patrick & Finley Fransisco; and several nieces & nephews. Funeral Services will be held 1 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 27, 2015, in Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming; where family and friends may gather from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Lakeside Cemetery, Dover. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company, 2 N. Main St., P.O.
