Shirley 'Jimmy' Tangel

MIDDLETOWN - Shirley Epple "Jimmy" Tangel, of Middletown, passed away on Monday, Feb. 9, 2009. She was 75. "Jimmy" leaves many cherished memories to her beloved husband of 56 years, Robert J. Tangel who she adoringly called "Jeffy"; a daughter, Susan Tangel-Merring and her husband Robert Merring of Hockessin; a son, Robert L. Tangel of Florence, Italy; five beautiful grandchildren, Kristin Warrick, Thomas and Alexa Merring, and Nicholas and Allegra Tangel; a special great-grandson, Liam Warrick; and a very dear lifelong friend, Yolanda Ficarra. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13 at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad Street, Middletown, where family and friends may visit one hour prior to service and on Thursday evening, from 7-9 pm. Interment will be in Old Drawyers Cemetery near Odessa.
