FELTON - Shirley Suter Dillard, 81, of Felton, passed away on Friday, August 7, 2015 at Kent General Hospital in Dover. Shirley was born in Otterbein, Ind. the daughter of the late Lawrence and Arlene (McElhoe) Suter of Lafayette, Ind. She worked at I.G. Burton in Milford as a Title Clerk and then at Hammond Cadillac in Milford as a bookkeeper until her retirement. She served as the President of the P.T.A. in Lafayette, Indiana. She was a member of TOPS and was a season ticket holder and avid fan of the Baltimore Orioles. Shirley loved to read and sew. Most important to her was her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Janet Shull. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Ray Dillard; two sons, Joseph Loveless and his wife Ruth and Jerome Loveless; one daughter, Robin Gehrmann and her husband Gary; one step-son, Terry Dillard and his wife Debbie; two step-daughters, Lisa Wilson and her husband Brent and Genette Pursley; and a brother, Larry Suter and his wife Annie. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way, Suite 205, New Castle, DE 19720.
