OAK ORCHARD - Shirley P. "Patty" Fritz of Oak Orchard passed away at her home on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007. She was 73.
Shirley was born April 10, 1934, in Oak Orchard, one of 12 children born to Charlie and Mary (Johnson) Moore.
She was a lifelong resident of Oak Orchard.
Shirley was a nurse"s aide at the Stockley Center in Georgetown and was the caregiver for both her parents and her sister Eliza White.
Shirley was a very caring and giving person and did many things over the years for her nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Gerald R. Moore, Robert L. Moore, Charles H. Moore and Norman Moore; and two sisters, Ruth McGee and Eva Webb.
She is survived by two sisters, Eliza White of Oak Orchard and Mary Boyce of Laurel; three brothers, Raymond C. Moore of Oak Orchard, Joseph C. Moore and his wife, Doris of Oak Orchard, Irvin W. Moore and his wife, Kathy of Oak Orchard; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday in the chapel of Melson Funeral Services on Long Neck road in Long Neck, where friends may call one hour prior.
Burial will be in Millsboro Cemetery.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions in Shirley"s memory to the Boys and Girls Club of Oak Orchard, c/o Millie Charnick, 31550 Oak Orchard Road, Millsboro, DE 19966.
