BETHANY BEACH - Shirley M. Gurecki, age 88, of Bethany Beach, formerly of Severna Park, Md., passed away peacefully on Monday, Dec. 5, 2011, at her home. Shirley is survived by her loving husband, John S. Gurecki Sr.; a son, John S. "Jack" Gurecki, Jr. and wife Kay; a daughter, Joan Marie Hackmann and husband Dale; a brother, John Mason and his wife Catherine; a sister, Cassie Steinberg; four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Friday, Dec. 9, 2011, at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 691 Garfield Parkway, Bethany Beach. A visitation will be Thursday evening from 3-5 p.m. at the Ocean View Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, Ocean View. Interment will be private.
