Shirley Elaine McKee Jones, 72

FELTON - Shirley Elaine McKee Jones, of Felton, died Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009, at home. She was 72. She was born in Marcus Hook, Pa., the daughter of the late John James and Edith Gertrude Roberts McKee. She was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren, cooking, baking, reading, sewing, gardening and going to yard sales. She was a member of Bethel Wesleyan Church in Goldsboro, Md. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Amos S. Jones in 2006; a brother, Wayne McKee; and a grandson, Michael Elwood Smith Jr. She is survived by her children, William A. Jones and his wife Virginia of Greensboro, Md., Dale E. Yeomans of Felton, Michael E. Smith of Greenwood, Karen L. Bonneville of Felton, Kimberly A. Kalousek of Felton, Kitty Correia and her husband Randy of Viola, and John Altman and his wife Penny of Jefferson, Ohio; one sister, Dorothy Rooney of Milford; two brothers, John McKee of Marcus Hook, Pa., and Raymond McKee of Milford; 19 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be noon Thursday, Feb. 5, in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, Main St., Felton, where friends may call after 11 am. Interment will be in Hopkins Cemetery, Felton.
