Shirley B. Glanden passed on March 8, 2026 after a brave battle with cancer. She was born on April 10, 1952 in Milford Hospital, the daughter of William Brittingham and Alice (Powell) Brittingham of Felton.
She is survived by her sisters Joyce Welsh (Joe Keyes), Patricia (Jim) Robinson, and brother Bill (Lisa) Brittingham; her twin sons Mark M. (Annie) and Matthew B. (Amy), her sister-in-law Beverly (the late Buddy) Coverdale, nieces Amanda (Brian) Wright and Ashley Brittingham, and nephew Billy (Jessica) Brittingham; her loving partner Ed Starr and his sons Chris (Lauren) and Jeff (Kaoru); and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in her death by her husband of 35 years, Charles “Del” Glanden, brother-in-law Steve Oldham, brother-in-law Albert “Bud” Coverdale and niece Carrie Coverdale.
Friends may call from 12 - 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford. Celebration of life services will be held at 2:00p.m. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Those who wish to honor Shirley’s memory can make gifts in her name to Lustgarten Pancreatic Cancer Research (lustgarten.org).
