
DOVER - Shirley Anne Reynolds Waller, formerly of Millington, Md., went to be with the Lord on Apr. 14, 2017.
Mrs. Waller was born in Chestertown, Md., at Kent & Queen Anne's Hospital on Mar. 23, 1942. She was the daughter of the late James V. Reynolds and Catherine W. Reynolds of Millington.
In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, Bruce Robert Waller.
Mrs. Waller graduated from Galena High School in Galena, Md. and moved to Baltimore to attend Vogue Academy for one year. After graduating, she worked for an insurance firm in Towson, Md., before moving to the suburbs of Washington, D.C. She spent 10 years in retail management with Sears Roebuck & Co. in N.W. Washington, D.C. followed by six years in management with Montgomery Ward near Washington. After 16 years in the area, she returned to her home on the Eastern Shore of Maryland to work in marketing for Delmarva Sash & Door. This was followed by a return to retailing as the manager of Hess Apparel in Dover. After the Hess Company was sold, she sold new homes for a local builder in the Dover areas for eight years. She enjoyed basketball, softball, baseball travel ball and a good tournament of bands.
She is survived by one sister, Joan Reynolds Everett and her husband Frank, of Camden; one aunt, Louise Wallace of Chestertown, Md.; a nephew, James P. Popham; a niece, Jodie Erin Morris; three great-nieces, Kayla, Emma, and Allie Popham; a great-nephew, Mason Wyatt Morris; one great-great-niece, McKenzie Catherine Popham; as well as many cousins and dear friends.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday Apr. 30, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Asbury Cemetery, Millington, Md.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in her memory to the Asbury United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 187, Millington, MD 21651.
