
Sharon L. Faries, 61
SMYRNA, Del. - Sharon L. Faries received her ultimate healing on January 13, 2022 and is now resting in the arms of Jesus. Sharon was born September 14, 1960 in Cambridge, Maryland the daughter of Philip and Jean Johnson of Clayton, Delaware.
She worked as a Realtor for 30 years most recently with Patterson-Schwartz in Dover, Delaware. She took great pride in finding her clients their "Dream Home."
In her earlier years, Sharon enjoyed traveling abroad, sightseeing, hunting, fishing and riding her bike. She was a member of Free Will Baptist Church in Townsend, Delaware and had served as the chairperson for the Asbury United Methodist Church Fall Bazaar Committee for 5 years.
In 2004 she was featured on the cover of and in a story done by the Outlook Official Journal for Women of the National Rifle Association's Women in the Great Outdoors Magazine. But Sharon's greatest joy in life was family. She loved to cook, especially during the holidays and was always ready for people to come over for a crab feast at the drop of a hat.
In addition to her parents; she is survived by her husband, Wells Faries; a son, Paul F. Rose II and his fiancée Karen Bender of Palm Bay, Florida; a brother, Phillip Johnson of Hamstead, North Carolina; a special aunt and uncle, Pat and Jerry Mason of Clayton, Delaware; and several nieces and a nephew.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Johnson.
Memorial services will be Monday, January 24, 2022 at 11 a.m. in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 South Main Street, Smyrna, Delaware, where friends may call one hour before services. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Free Will Baptist Church, 4519 DuPont Parkway Townsend, Delaware 19734.
