Sharon Kane Purdy

CLAYTON - Sharon Kane Purdy passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, Dec. 24, 2012. Mrs. Purdy was born June 2, 1955 in Caribou, Maine, the daughter of the late Patrick and Theopaine Kane. She was a stay-at-home mom who enjoyed cross stitching, pintrest, and reading. She loved the ocean and was an advocate for special needs children. She is survived by her husband, William D. Purdy; four sons, Neil P. Little (Jaime) of Millsboro, Del., Jonathan P. Purdy (Melody) of Townsend, Del., and Jeffrey L. Purdy and Donald W. Purdy, both of Clayton, Del.; a daughter, Juliet Woodhouse (Wayne) of Phoenix, Ariz.; and three grandchildren. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013 at 11 a.m in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main St. in Smyrna, where celebration of life services will begin at noon. Burial will be private. Letters of condolence may be sent by visiting www.fariesfuneralhome.com.
