Mangubat, 90 Dover - Sergio Mendoza Mangubat died Sunday, April 27, 2014 surrounded by his loving family. Born in Balanga, Philippines, he was the son of the late Emiliano and Petra Mangubat. Mr. Mangubat had served as a Banker for many years in the Philippines and had moved to the United States in 2002. After living in Chicago and then Buffalo, he moved to Dover in 2007. He was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Dover and was a dedicated and loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a simple and honest man who will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. Besides his parents, Mr. Mangubat was predeceased by his brother, Pedro Mangubat. He is survived by his wife of 53 yrs., Gliceria (Cordero) Mangubat of Dover, DE, his son, Raul and wife, Dr. Cynthia Mangubat of Magnolia, DE, his daughter, Maris and her husband Mike Banayad of Manila, Philippines and his sister, Remedios Arellano of Zambales, Philippines. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Francis, Jerome, Vincent, Clare and Chloe Mangubat, and Johann Miguel M.Banayad Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial that will be offered at 12 noon on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at Holy Cross Church, 631 S.
