MAGNOLIA - Scott Anthony Handges passed away, Thursday, September 23, 2021, at Kent General Hospital.
Mr. Handges was born March 7, 1959, in Milford, Delaware to Anthony John Handges and Marlene Ford Handges.
He worked for Chesapeake Utilities for over 24 years, retiring in April 2021 as a supervisor. He was a member of the Camden-Wyoming Moose Lodge. Mr. Handges was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys and enjoyed watching them all the time as well as watching football and NASCAR with his son.
Mr. Handges was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie Coffman Thomas Handges; and dear friend, Harry Scott.
He is survived by his parents; children, Anthony Joseph McKinley Handges of Magnolia, Beth Scott of Magnolia and Sara Hudson of Milford; brother, Barry Handges; and sister, Connie "Cat" Weaver.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Thursday, September 30, 2021 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692 with a check or money order payable to the American Heart Association.
