Sarah Lane Nutt, 69

MARYDEL - Sarah Lane Nutt, of Marydel, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008, in her home. She was 69.

Mrs. Nutt was a kind and gentle woman, a mother and a friend to all who knew her. She also was an animal lover who always made room for any type of pet in need.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles "Jack" and Lillian (Rice) Barnes, who had lived in Black Creek, N.C.; and two brothers, Kid Jackie Barnes, who had lived in Black Creek, and Jerry Barnes, who had lived in Blackbird.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond Nutt Jr. of Marydel; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Wanda and Charles Kazlauskas of Viola, and Brenda Gail Wetzel and companion Clifford "Kip" Vogal of Houston, Texas; two grandchildren, Bridget Kazlauskas and Bobby Capparella; two stepdaughters, Beth Capparella of Reading, Pa., and Peggy Eyster of Sandtown, Md.; two brothers and a sister-in-law, William and Margaret Moor of Dover, and Charles Robert and Rhoda Barnes of Hartly; two additional sisters-in-law, Carolyn Barnes and Becky Barnes; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today in Templeville Cemetery, Templeville, Md.

Arrangements by Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Dover.
