Sarah Frances (Hall) Duffy, 88

REHOBOTH BEACH - Sarah Frances (Hall) Duffy of Rehoboth Beach died Thursday, June 21, 2007, in Harbor Health Care, Lewes, after a brief illness. She was 88.

Sarah was born May 15, 1919, in Clarksville, daughter of Lulu Rosetta Williams and James Hall.

She grew up and spent her entire life in Delaware.

Sarah worked as a housekeeper for several families in Rehoboth Beach.

She was a member of John Wesley United Methodist church, Belltown, for many years, where she served on the senior choir, with the United Methodist Women and also the Henlopen Choral Society.

Sarah was preceded in death by her husband, Fred, in 1985; and her daughter, Betty E. Duffy, in 2000.

She is survived by three sons, Jonathan Duffy and Jeron Duffy, both of Rehoboth Beach, and E. Lee Duffy of Durham, N.C.; a daughter, Marjorie O. Biles of Rehoboth Beach; a sister, Irene Collins of Millsboro; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in John Wesley United Methodist Church, Belltown/Lewes, where friends may call two hours prior to the service.

Arrangements by Miller Funeral Services, Lewes.
