OCEAN VIEW - Sarah B. Parfitt of Ocean View, formerly of Plum Boro, Pa., passed away Sunday, Sept. 9, 2007, at the Harbor Healthcare Center, Lewes. She was 75.

She was born in Colfax, Ind., daughter of the late Addison and Mary (Sioti) Bradshaw.

Mrs. Parfitt was a beautician for 10 years in Cincinnati.

She started and directed a Meals on Wheels program in Plum Boro for 10 years.

Mrs. Parfitt enjoyed quilting and was an amazing seamstress.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 14 brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Vaughn R. Parfitt; a son, David Parfitt and his wife Dana of Rochester, N.Y.; a daughter, Amy Stumme and her husband Ron of Baltimore; and four grandchildren, Lauren Stumme, Kevin Stumme, Maggie Parfitt and Evie Parfitt.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the Ocean View Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, West Avenue, Ocean View.

Burial will be private.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Sarah"s name to the American Heart Association, 600 N. DuPont Highway, Georgetown, DE 19947; or to Cheers Meals on Wheels, 546 S. Bedford St., Georgetown, DE 19947.
