Sarah Ann 'Sally' (Britton) Lewis, 65
NASHUA, N.H. - Sarah Ann "Sally" (Britton) Lewis of Nashua passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2007, in Community Hospice House, Merrimack. She was 65.
Mrs. Lewis was born Feb. 1, 1942, in Pawling, N.Y., daughter of the late Raymond Sr. and Minerva (Pierson) Britton.
She resided in Nashua for 32 years, and previously lived in Hartly, Del.
She graduated from Pawling High School in 1960, and had secretarial training in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.
Mrs. Lewis worked at BAE Systems, formerly Sanders Associates, for 31 years, as a senior administrative assistant to several vice presidents.
She was a volunteer student mentor and worked with the United Way. She was also a board member for BAE Employee Community Fund. She at one time served on the ethnic awareness committee of the City of Nashua.
Mrs. Lewis enjoyed time with her family and friends, playing cards and board games with her grandchildren, dinning out, shopping and traveling. The shores of South Carolina, as well as her trip to Paris, were among her favorites.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Kimberley J. and Dale Dean of Harrington and Denise Lucas of Dover; her grandchildren, Brian and Christopher Lucas and Brooke and Bailey Dean; a great-granddaughter, Emily Lucas; her brothers and their wives, Frederick and Kevyn Britton of Nashua and Allen and Beverly Britton of Council Bluffs, Iowa; and her sisters and their husbands, Petra and Don der Boghossian of Wingdale, N.Y., Patricia and Billy Spinner of Pawling, and Bernice and Edward Morris of Carolina Shores, N.C.
Remembrance services will be noon Thursday in Trader Funeral Home, Dover, where friends may call one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way, Suite 205, New Castle, DE 19720.
