Sallie A. Hall, 58

FREDERICA - Sallie A. Hall, of Frederica, died Monday, March 2, 2009, in her home. She was 58. She was the daughter of the late George and Josephine Yates, also of Frederica. Ms. Hall was born in Merced, Calif., but has resided in Delaware since her teen years. She retired from the Department of Defense in Accounting and Finance and has since worked for Conventional Builders in Houston. She also worked for H&R Block and has prepared taxes for many people in the surrounding communities for decades. She has spent many years dedicated to caring for her father and family, and had a deep love for Longaberger baskets for which she was a consultant for over 20 years. She is survived by a son, Daniel J. Hall; daughter, Meghan C. Hall; sister and brother, Mary Jo Yates and Stephen Yates; and three grandchildren, Connor J. Hall, Rio Isabelle Hall, and Chase Joseph Dougherty, who was welcomed into the world on March 3, 2009, the day after Ms. Hall's death. A Memorial Services will be 1 p.m. Sunday, March 22, at the Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford.
