Salemma M. Dayton

HARRINGTON - Salemma M. Dayton, of Harrington, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2011, at Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital in Milford. She was 83. She was born in Harrington, the daughter of the late John S. and Rella Brown Wyatt. She was a cafeteria worker for the Lake Forest School District. She was a member of Asbury U.M. Church and the Harrington Senior Center, where she enjoyed playing cards. She also enjoyed crocheting and needlepoint. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Dayton. She is survived by her children, Steve Dayton and his wife Kathi of Lincoln and Craig Dayton of Felton; one brother, Melvin Wyatt of Harrington; and four grandchildren, Christina Dayton Wall, Stefanie Dayton, Pamela Dayton, and Victoria Dayton. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, July 31, 2011, in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford, where friends may call after noon. Interment will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 163, Salisbury, MD 21803-0163.
