Ruth Ellen Delp, 81
MILFORD - Ruth Ellen Delp of Milford died at home on Sunday, July 8, 2007, in Milford. She was 81.
Mrs. Delp was born Oct. 11, 1925, in Foundryville, Pa., daughter of the late George and Elizabeth "Bessie" (Connor) Bates.
She enjoyed fishing, crabbing, clamming, gardening and drawing in her free time. She was always there when someone was in need.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Delp of Delaware; and three sisters, Sarah Zieber, Mary Bixler and Ethel Rudy all of Pennsylvania; and two brothers, Clarence Bates of Pennsylvania and Wilbur Bates of New Jersey.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Donna Stalvey and her husband, James of Milford; great-grandchildren, Ellen Yelk, Joey Stalvey and Jessica Stalvey; a granddaughter, Terri and James Bortz and family of Reading, Pa.; a brother, Richard Bates of Pennsylvania and five children, Charles Harris "Cook" Seibert, Allen Seibert, David Seibert, Barry Lee Seibert and Jacqueline Johnson, all of Pennsylvania.
Memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
