MILLINGTON, Md. - Russell T. Waddell, Sr. died May 30, 2012, in Hospice of Queen Anne's, Centreville, Md. Mr. Waddell was born on March 29, 1937, son of the late David F. Jr and Gertrude Tucker Waddell. He was raised and lived in Millington for 62 years. Russell was a Crane operator working for Sun Ship, Deemer Steel and Welding. He enjoyed gardening, traveling, the mountains, playing dominos, singing and playing the guitar and was active with the Seventh Day Adventist Reformed Movement Group. He was a member of the Army National Guard, 124 Infantry in Chester, Pa. and Chestertown, Md. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, David F. Waddell, III and a sister Joyce Mench. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary E. Waddell; seven children, Daniel T. Stevenson of Galena, Md., Darlena M. Resto of Newark, Del., Donna L. Blanchfield (Carey) of Millington, Md., Bonnie Fueller of Stevensville, Md., Sharon Creed (Albert) of Galena, Md., Russell T. Waddell, Jr. (Victoria) of Chestertown, Md., and David F. Waddell of Millington, Md.; a brother, Charles G. Waddell (Lana) of Millington, Md.; 19 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, June 3, 2012, at noon in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St. Galena, MD, where friends may call one hour prior. Burial will be held privately. Memorials may be offered to the Seventh Day Adventist Reformed Movement Group, 2708 John A. Thomson Rd, Temple Hills, MD. 20748 www.galenafuneralhomeofsls.
