Rose T. Smith, 86

GREENSBORO, Md. - Rose T. Smith, of Greensboro, died Sunday, April 27, 2008, in Ruxton Health of Denton. She was 86.

She was born Feb. 12, 1922, in Greensboro, to the late August P. and Elsie Jones Kibler.

Ms. Smith, a lifetime resident of the area, was a member of Veterasns of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary 7937 in Greensboro.

She also was an avid bingo player and enjoyed traveling.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence J. Smith in 1979; her daughter, JoAnne Garrett in 1990; her grandson, Doug Garrett in 1986; and her son-in-law, Bobby Garrett in 1980.

Ms. Smith is survived by two daughters, Rose M. and her husband Gale Bowman of Greensboro, and Norma Lee and her husband Lemuel Kinnamon Jr. of Centreville; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, Greensboro, where friends may call one hour prior.

Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Greensboro.
