Rose Leona Reed

MILTON - Rose Leona Tribbitt Reed, of Milton, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012, at home. She was 90. She was born on Oct. 21, 1921, the only daughter of the late Charles Alvin Tribbitt and Mary Amanda Thompson Tribbitt. She was a graduate of Greensboro High School, Milford Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, Columbia University in New York City and did graduate work at Salisbury State College. She was an instructor at Milford School of Nursing and Delaware State College. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Fred E. Reed; and her brother, William Alvin Tribbitt . She is survived by her son, Dennis Wayne Reed of Milton; one granddaughter, Nicole Reed Anderson and her husband J. Scot Anderson and their children, Elle Reed Anderson and John Henry Anderson, all of Lewes; and one brother, Leonard James Tribbitt of Greensboro, Md. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2012, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 416 Federal St., Milton, where friends may call after noon. Interment will be in Henlopen Memorial Park, Milton.
