Roger M. McLaughlin

SMYRNA - Roger M. McLaughlin, Sr. passed away at his home surrounded by family on April 13, 2018.
Mr. McLaughlin was born on Aug. 30, 1941 in Wilmington, the son of the late Raymond and Eva (Whalen) McLaughlin.
He was a Machine Operator for New Castle County and retired after 38 years of service.
Roger enjoyed bowling and playing bingo.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John McLaughlin; and his sister, Barbara DeMoss.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Laura M. (Goodyear) McLaughlin; three children, Brenda Duncan and her husband Jeff of Newark, Roger M. McLaughlin, Jr. of Elkton, Md. and Barbara Anderson and her husband Barry of Middletown; two grandchildren, Barry Anderson, Jr. and Brandon Anderson; his sisters, Mary Brannock of Millsboro and Patricia Schneese of Townsend; and his brother, Michael McLaughlin of Wilmington.
A viewing will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Gracelawn Memorial Chapel, located at 2220 North DuPont Parkway in New Castle. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m.
