Roger G. Wood, 88 WILMINGTON - Roger G. Wood, of Wilmington, passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2008, in his home. He was 88. He was born on Dec. 26, 1919, in Hartford, Conn. to the late George and Mary Adam Wood. Mr. Wood was a member of First Baptist Church of Dover since 1990 and Calvary Baptist Church of Newark. He worked for DuPont out of the Wilmington Shop for 31 years and retired in 1981. He was a WWII Army Veteran. He is preceded in death by his wife, Muriel L. Harmon Wood in 2005 and his brother Milton Wood. Mr. Wood is survived by a son, Douglas E. Wood of Wilmington, son, Jonathan L. and wife Patricia Wood of Newark, daughter, Susan Wood-Bailey and husband Gilbert of, Ind.; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Calvary Baptist Church 215 East Delaware Ave., Newark. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. The family request that memorial contributions be given to Calvary Baptist Church 215 Delaware Ave. Newark, DE 19711. Letters of condolences may be sent to www.delmarvaobits.com or traderfh@aol.com
