WILLOW GROVE - Robert Wright, born Oct. 23, 1926, in Willow Grove, passed away on Jan. 22, 2011, at Kent General after a long illness. He was 84. Robert was a veteran of World War II. Robert was a brick and stone mason for 50+ years. He was a member of Trinity Wesleyan Church of Dover and an avid fisherman. He enjoyed spending time with family and watching baseball. While living at Luther Towers he enjoyed participating in the social activities and talking to the other residents. Robert was preceded in death by a son, Robert (Dukie); his wife, Elizabeth (Sis); a sister, Helen Melvin; and a brother, Lyman Wright. He is survived by his son, Bruce and wife Lynn Wright of Smyrna; a granddaughter, Christina Wright of Smyrna; a brother, Louis and his wife Leona Wright of Petersburg; a sister, Hilda and her husband Bo Bosien of Houston, Texas; and a host of nieces and nephews. Services will be Friday, Jan. 28, 2011, at Trinity Wesleyan at noon, where friends may call from 11 a.m. to noon. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Trinity Wesleyan Church, 1564 South State Street Ext., Dover, DE 19901.
