PARKSLEY, Va. - Robert Lee Comegys Sr. of Parksley died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007, in Shore Memorial Hospital in Nassawadox. He was 75.
Mr. Comegys was born in Templeville, Md., to Pearl and Ervin Comegys.
He served his country in the U.S. Army in the Korean War.
Mr. Comegys was a lifetime member of VFW Post 652, and retired from Chrysler.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Donald Comegys, Ralph Comegys and James Comegys.
He was survived by his wife Dorothy Louise Comegys of Parksley; one sister, Grace Ann Alfree of Parksley; two brothers, Guy and John Comegys both of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; his first wife, Eva Comegys and their seven children; four daughters, Phyllis Pearson of Millington, Md., Cheryl Wise of Ellerbe, S.C., Donna Pearson of Sudlersville, Md., and Dorothy Comegys of Crumpton Md.; three sons, Robert Lee Comegys Jr. of Ocala Fla., Zachary Comegys, also of Ocala, and V. Leroy Comegys of Sudlersville; 10 grandchildren; and seven great- grandchildren.
Funeral services will be privately held at Williams Funeral Home in Parksley.
