KENTON, DE - Robert L. Moffett passed away on Tuesday, February 07, 2023.
He was born October 18, 1938 the son of the late Michael and Grace Moffett of Clayton, Delaware. In addition to his parents; he was predeceased by his wife, Beverly, of 37 years; and his brothers, William Moffett and his wife Susan and Walter Moffett and his wife Agnes; and his sister-in-law, Laura Moffett.
He is survived by his daughters, Robin Daniels and Carol Moffett; his granddaughter, Amber Moffett; and great grandson, Mathias Peal; his brothers, Edward and his wife Doris Moffett and Harold Moffett; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.
He served the Lord all his life and attended the Evangelical Christian Church in Millington, Maryland. He enjoyed reading his Bible and daily devotion books, loved playing his guitar and singing, and he enjoyed gardening, hunting, cutting grass and going to the Delaware State Fair with his brothers. Robert painted houses, performed carpentry work, and worked at Diamond, Georgia Gulf and DHCI in the boiler room. He also served his country with honor in the U.S. Army.
He loved his girls, granddaughter and was so proud to have a great grandson. He was so happy to finally have a boy in our family! He will be dearly missed by his family.
Services will be held at Faries Funeral Home at 29 South Main Street, Smyrna, Delaware on February 15, 2023, where family and friends may call from 11 AM to 12 PM. Service will start at noon with interment at Glenwood Cemetery Smyrna, Delaware.
