Robert J. Teed, 97 CAMDEN - Robert J. Teed, of Camden, died Monday, Oct. 12, 2009. He was 97. Mr. Teed was born March 26, 1912, in Randolph, Mass., to the late Gordon R. Teed and Ethel Finley Teed. He graduated from Stetson High School in 1929 and Bentley School of Accounting in 1933. During World War II he served on the home front as an Air Raid Warden in Randolph, Mass. He worked in the chocolate production process for Walter Baker Chocolate / General Foods for 41 years retiring in 1977. Mr. Teed was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dover, where he was a Deacon Emeritus. He would visit shut ins, and would drive people to church. Mr. Teed was very active in Sunday school. He was a lifelong Boston Red Sox Fan. Mr. Teed was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Bell Marston Teed, June 17, 2009. He is survived by his daughters, Peggy Curtis and her husband Woody of Camden, and Lois Waller and her husband Gerald of Opelika, Ala.; grandchildren, Beth Sobocinski and her husband Ray of Bear, Amy Walker and her husband Brian of Malvern, Iowa, Glen Curtis and his wife Jessica of Charlotte, N.C., and James Waller and his wife Stephanie of Gardendale, Ala.; great-grandchildren, Rachel Curtis of Charlotte, N.C., and Michael Waller of Gardendale, N.C. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, Oct. 16, 2009, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.
