Robert H. Davis

TOWNSEND - Robert H. Davis passed away on Saturday evening, Oct. 28, 2017 at his home.
Mr. Davis was born May 18, 1943 in Cheswold, to the late Robert N. Davis and Anna Elizabeth Davis (Wilson).
He served in the United States Marines for four years. Mr. Davis worked for Delmarva Power and Gas for over 20 years. He was a member of the Lenape Indian Tribe of Delaware and enjoyed spending any time he could with his beloved grandchildren and family. He had a passion for baseball and football, and enjoyed spending his free time fishing/crabbing and helping others in any way he could.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by wife, Barbara Elaine Davis (Jannuzzio); and sister, Joan Casey.
He is survived by his children, Robert H. Davis Jr., of New Castle and Nicole Davis Legler, of Westminster, Md.; grandchildren, Robert Chase and Logan Davis, Riley, Emily, and Colby Legler; sisters, Elaine Blackwell and Catherine Moore.
Graveside services will be held 12 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017 at Immanuel Union United Methodist Cemetery, Main Street, Cheswold.
