Robert Evans Barr

Robert Evans Barr, 76 MARYDEL, Md. - Robert Evans Barr, of Marydel, died Monday, Aug. 25, 2008, in Bayhealth Medical Center, Dover. He was 76. Born in Chester, Pa., on Dec. 15,1931, to the late John and Marian Barr. Mr. Barr was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He moved to the eastern shore area in the early 1960s. He had been employed with General Motors in Newark, Del. He went on to work for Reichold Chemical of Cheswald, Del., retiring in the late 1980s. He enjoyed camping and riding his motorcycle with family and friends. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Regina C. Barr; a daughter, Regina Barr and a brother, Ronald (Ronnie) Barr. Mr. Barr is survived by his wife, Deborah Sue Barr; three sons, Robert T. Barr of Milford, Del., Thomas J. Barr of Federalsburg, Timothy Barr of Greensboro; two brothers, five sisters, 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services will be 11:30 a.m., Friday, in Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home, 106 W. Sunset Ave., Greensboro, where friends may visit on hour prior.
