Robert Cohen, 80

LEWES - Robert Cohen of Lewes died Friday, Feb. 1, 2008, at Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital. He was 80.

Mr. Cohen was born Nov. 17, 1927, in Philadelphia, to the late Martin Cohen and Helen (Rice) Cohen.

He lived in various areas and finally settled in Lewes.

Mr. Cohen served in the U.S. Army from 1948-51 as a sergeant in Fort George Meade, Md.

For many years, he owned his own company which installed stereo and hi-fis, called High Fidelity House in Wilmington.

Mr. Cohen was an avid railroad buff and a member of the Delmarva Railroad Club.

He was a Mason in Philadelphia.

Mr. Cohen was active at Beth Shalom in Dover and also volunteered at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Lenora Cohen; his daughter, Janice Santos and her husband Jorge of Georgetown; and his brother, Donald Cohen of Tallahassee, Fla.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. today at the Delaware Veterans Home, 100 Delaware Veterans Blvd., Milford, DE 19963.

Interment will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.
