Sterner, Jr., 80 DOVER - Robert C. Sterner, Jr. died Oct. 29, 2015. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Robert C. and Kathryn Boyle Sterner. Mr. Sterner had been a lifelong musician and had also served in musical instrument sales. He had owned and operated a Music Shop in Philadelphia, and after moving to the Dover area, he taught music at B&B Music for over 12 years. He was a dedicated husband who also enjoyed Motor Cycles and loved watching TV Westerns. Mr. Sterner leaves his loving wife, Dolores N. Sterner of Dover; and his two sons, Robert F. Sterner of Imperial, Pa. and Frank P. Sterner of Langhorne, Pa.; a sister, Kathryn Cantele of Charleston, S.C.; along with his brother, Jack Sterner of Folcroft, Pa. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Frances Cannizzo, of Dover; and five loving grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 noon on Fri., Nov. 6, 2015 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State St. Dover, where the family will be receiving guests starting at 11 A.M. Entombment will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery, Dover. In lieu of flowers or donations to charitable entities, Mrs. Sterner needs your help. The family has taken care of the funeral expenses, however, they are anticipating unplanned expenditures following this event.
