Robert B. Kooker

DOVER - Robert "Bob" B. Kooker, died due to complications with pneumonia on July 30, 2018 in Dover.
Bob was born on Aug. 8, 1930 in Reading, Pa. to J. Kenneth and Leila Kooker.
After serving two years in the Air Force during the Korean War, he attended Penn State University until 1955. During his career he managed the Delaware Trust bank branch in Frederica from 1972 to 1982 and worked as credit manager for Carl King from 1986 to 1995. Throughout his life Bob was an avid golfer who made two holes in one during his retirement. He was also a member of the Dover Elks Club and Wesley United Methodist Church for over 40 years.
Bob is survived by his wife of 65 years, Virginia H. Kooker; cousin, Sally Strickler; children, Kevin Kooker (wife Susan), Keith Kooker (wife Monica); and grandchildren, Andrew, Ashley and Ryan.
He was preceded in death by brother Jack of California.
A celebration of Bob's life will be held starting at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 6, 2018 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover, where family and friends may visit beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Hollywood Cemetery in Harrington.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Wesley United Methodist Church, 209 S. State Street, Dover, DE 19901 or to Alzheimer's Association, Delaware Valley Chapter, P.O. Box 96011, Washington DC 20090.
