Robert Adams Marine

BROOKVIEW, Md. - Robert Adams Marine of Brookview passed away Friday, Feb. 9, 2007, in Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford. He was 79.

Born in Brookview, Dorchester County, on Aug. 18, 1927, he was the son of the late Wilbur and Daisey (Lord) Marine.

Mr. Marine attended Hurlock High School and joined the U.S. Army, serving his country in World War II. He worked for Clifton T. Perkins Hospital and later the Maryland State Hospital in Cambridge, from which he retired.

He was an avid horseman and was a member of the U.S. Trotting Association.

He is survived by two sons, Robert Wayne Marine of Laurel, and William C. Marine of Federalsburg; and a brother, John Marine of Georgetown.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Marine, who passed away in 2000; and by a brother, Lloyd Marine, who passed away in 1989.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Williamson Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Federalsburg, where friends may call one hour earlier.

The Rev. Philip Patchett will officiate.

Interment will take place in Maryland Veterans Cemetery of the Eastern Shore in
