BETTERTON, Md. - Richie C. Harvey III of Betterton died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008, in Rock Hall, as the result of an automobile accident. He was 25.
Richie was born Dec. 29, 1982, in Wilmington, son of Richie C. Harvey II and the late Leona Roth Bowen.
After his mother's death, at the age of 2, he went to live with his grandmother in Florida. In 2002 they returned to Betterton.
Richie was employed by East Coast Railroad Contractors, Lancaster, Pa.
He enjoyed playing basketball, movies, all kinds of sports and games.
He is survived by his grandmother, Diane Dunkelberger of Betterton; his father, Richie C. Harvey II of Baton Rouge. La.; a sister, Nicole Harvey of Betterton; his great-grandmother, Catherine Wade of Betterton; an aunt, Sandra Cartwright of Florida; and a great-aunt and great-uncle with whom he lived, Dorothy and Allan Moore.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St., where friends may call one hour prior.
The Rev. Rick Vance of First United Methodist Church will officiate.
Burial will be in Still Pond Cemetery.
