MILLVILLE - Richard S. Baltz of Millville, formerly of Lancaster, Pa., passed away Wednesday Sept. 5, 2007, in Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. He was 74.
He was born in Lancaster, son of the late, Charles D. And Helen (Witsck) Baltz.
Mr. Baltz was a supervisor for Acme Markets, retiring after 45 years of service.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the U.S. Army.
Mr. Baltz was a 32nd degree Mason with the Blue Lodge 665 in Ephrata, Pa., a member of the Reading, Pa. Consistory and the Valley of Lancaster Lodge of Perfection.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Baltz in 2001.
He is survived by a son, Richard Scott Baltz of Maine; a daughter, Susan Lynn Galbreath of Dagsboro; a sister, Helen Marie Hahn of Ocean View; and five grandchildren, Tyler, Chelsea, Logan, Madison, and Caleb.
A private burial with military honors will be held at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery South in Millsboro.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association of Delaware, 110 S. French St., Wilmington, DE 19805.
