DOVER - Richard Orlando Tribbett-Tolson, affectionately known as "Lil Rick," departed this life on Sunday Nov. 9, 2008, in Dover. He was 29. He was born Sept. 2, 1979, to the late Sharon Melissa Tolson and Richard Orlando Tribbett. Rick attended elementary school in Smyrna and Dover, he graduated from Dover High School and was furthering his education at Del-Tech. Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Sharon Tolson and Richard Tribbett; and a niece, Jayda M. Tolson. Tonessa Barlow, a very special friend, also departed this life on Nov. 9, 2008. He is survived by his only son, Antonio Gilbert of Dover; six brothers, Todd Tolson (Rachel), Frederick Tolson, Tyrone Tolson, Lamont Wheeler, Jerome Miller all of Dover and Dayna Palmer of California; four sisters, Tawanda Tolson, Lakisha Tolson, Keena Tolson and Regina Jackson also all of Dover; maternal grandmother, Ella Mae Tolson; his paternal grandparents, Maude Young and Ronald Thorpe also both of Dover. He also leaves behind seven uncles; William "Donnie" Tolson of Albany, N.Y., Andre Fisher, Claude Tolson (Charlene), Jeff Tolson, Robert Tribbett (Stacey), Thomas Tribbett and Tyrone Tribbett all of Dover; and a very special aunt, Adrienne Peck. He also leaves behind 30 nieces and nephews and one great nephew. In addition to a host of cousins and friends, a few of his special friends include, Domingo Miles, Nathan Weeks, DeVaugn Johnson, Nick "Bean" Fiorentino, Terrance Parker, Quan Bumbrey and Jon and Greg Landry. Viewing will be from 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Bennie Smith Funeral Home. Services will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Bennie Smith Funeral Home, where friends may view two hours prior. Burial will be in Whatcoat Cemetery.
