Richard L. Lankford Jr., 54 GEORGETOWN - Richard L. Lankford Jr., of Georgetown, passed away Monday, March 15, 2010 in his home. He was 54. Richard was a loving husband and father and enjoyed spending his leisure time with his family. He owned and operated Lankford Enterprises, a business that included landscaping, sign fabrication, crane services and a produce stand. He was a cancer survivor and loved music, hunting and flying. He enjoyed weight lifting and had won the title of Mr. Eastern Shore. Richard was a member of the Kiwanis and had coached Georgetown Little League for many years. Richard is survived by his wife, Lisa (Roloff) Lankford; two children, Jessica M. Lankford and Richard L. Lankford III; his father, Richard L., Sr. and Brenda Lankford; his mother, Mamielee Lankford; two brothers, Michale and Keith Lankford; a cousin to whom he was close, Laurentino Rowyn; two aunts, Marion Gomes and Eva Claire Morosoff; uncle, Dan Iannoscolio; and a host of extended family and friends. Richard will be remembered for being a great husband, father, friend, giver and community supporter. He was always there when anyone needed anything. A funeral service will be 1 p.m., Saturday, March 20, 2010, in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market Street, Georgetown, where friends may call after noon. Burial will be in Cokesbury Cemetery, Georgetown.
