Richard Joseph Paquin

Paquin, 84 MILTON - Richard Joseph Paquin formerly of Glenn Dale, Md., died on Aug. 10, 2012, at the Hospice of Queen Anne's in Centreville, Md. Born in Washington, D.C. on July 28, 1928, he was the son of the late Alphonse Rodrique Paquin and May Doane Paquin. In 1950, he married the former Janet Ann Kruger. The next month, he began his service in the US Army. The Paquins made their home in Glenn Dale, Md. and Mr. Paquin continued his career as an electrician. He worked tirelessly throughout his life to support his growing family. Mr. Paquin enjoyed boxing, which he did at a semi-professional level until his enlistment, but continued to participate in boxing events while in the Army. He also enjoyed watching football and was an avid Redskins fan. His greatest love was his family. He is survived by his children, Richard John Paquin (Debra) of Chester, Md., David Paquin (Lisa) of Severna Park, Md., JoAnn McGrath (Kevin) of Stevensville, Md., Michael Paquin of Riva, Md., John Paquin of Glenn Dale, Md., Joseph Paquin (Joyce Zylich) of Stevensville, Md., Steven Paquin of W. Va., and Billy Paquin (Nicole) of Stevensville, Md.; 10 grandchildren; his sisters, Charlotte Hammond of W.Va. and Celeste Shumer of Ky.; and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Janet Ann Kruger Paquin; his brother, Gene Paquin; and his sister, Jackie Rossi. Friends may call at the Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, P.A. in Chester, Md. on Sunday, August 12 from 3 to 6 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 1p.m. on Monday, Aug. 13, 2012, at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery , Millsboro, Del.
