DOVER - Renate G. Richmond of Dover died Monday, April 9, 2007, in her home. She was 60.

She was born April 6, 1947, in Germany.

Mrs. Richmond worked as a waitress, retiring after 22 years, in 1984, from the Village Inn Restaurant.

She was an active member of the Christian Theatrical Ministries Players prison outreach and the CTM Singers nursing home outreach. She effectively ministered through drama at Delaware Correctional Center in Smyrna, Howard R. Young (Gander Hill) Correctional Institution in Wilmington and Delores J. Baylor Women's Correctional Institution, and in area churches.

She was also a member of the Liberty Church in Dover.

Mrs. Richmond was an avid bowler and loved going to yard sales, sewing, crafts, knitting and cooking for family and friends. Most of all she loved being with her family and friends and especially her grandchildren.

Her husband, William C. Richmond, preceded her in death in 2003.

She is survived by three daughters, Evelyn McFarland and her husband Thom of Kentucky, Katherine Moore and her husband Howard of Woodland Beach, and Natalie Miller and her husband Glen of Dover; four grandchildren, Shawn, Amber, Melissa McFarland and Katherine Jane "Katie Bug" Moore.

Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Liberty Church, 1150 W. College Road, Dover.
