Regina (Holden) Quinn, 93
SMYRNA - Regina (Holden) Quinn, passed away Monday, Jan. 7, 2008, in the Delaware Hospital for the Chronically Ill, Smyrna. She was 93.
She was born April 15, 1914, in Washington, D.C., daughter of the late Bernard and Mabel (Sis) Holden.
Mrs. Holden was raised in Washington, D.C., where she attended St. Patrick's Academy.
She married John Aloysius Quinn in 1939 and worked for the War Department during World War II.
Mrs. Holden lived in Stockton, Calif., for some years before moving back to the Washington area.
In 1959 she established a second home in Rehoboth Beach which she always enjoyed visiting.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John on April 17, 1977; her brother, John Holden; and her sister, Mary (Holden) Hardie.
She is survived by her son, John Gregory Quinn, Ph.D. of Lewes; two brothers, Francis Holden of Yucaipa, Calif. and Rev. Edgar Holden, OFM Conv. of Staten Island, N.Y.; and her sister, Gertrude (Holden) Palardy of Baltimore.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated by Father Mark J. Connelly at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Jude The Apostle Catholic Church, Del. 1 north of Five Points, Lewes.
Mrs. Quinn was previously inurned at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Dagsboro.
Arrangements were handled by Parsell Funeral Enterprises, Inc., Lewes.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Maryland Province Office of the Society of Jesus, 5704 Roland Ave., Baltimore, MD 21210-1399.
