Rebecca Ann Nienstedt
Rebecca Ann Nienstedt, a beloved preschool teacher, mother, and friend, known to many as Becky, passed away on June 27, 2023.
She was born on November 3, 1956, on the Eastern Shore of Virginia. She grew up in Virginia Beach, eventually married, and had two children.
She moved to Dover, DE, with her husband, where she enjoyed a long career as a preschool teacher at St. John's Lutheran Preschool.
A brain tumor forced her to retire to an assisted living home, where she will be greatly missed by her caregivers and neighbors.
She is survived by her children, Stephanie and William; her brother, Lester; and her three grandchildren. She will rest in Virginia Beach, alongside her mother, Aileen; father, Reide; brother, Glenn; and sister, Julie.
Services will be held on Saturday, July 15 at 3 PM at Torbert Funeral Chapels, 1145 E. Lebanon Rd. (Rt. 10.), Dover, DE. Friends may call one hour prior.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition.
