Rebecca 'Becky' A. Melvin NEWARK - Rebecca "Becky" A. Melvin, of Newark, passed away Nov. 28, 2009, in lxtapa, Mexico. Rebecca was born on Nov. 5, 1959, in Riverside, Calif. Rebecca was a graduate of Dover High School and Delaware State University School of nursing where she was named a member of DSU Honor Society. Rebecca was recently employed at John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. Rebecca is survived by her parents, Joe and Betty Melvin, Deming, N.M., and Gerald and Ramona Thomsen, Sapulpa, Okla.; sisters, Vicki I. Melvin, Omaha, Neb., Georgia Moss, Eatontown, N.J., and Amy Beck, Bethlehem, Pa.; brothers, William Melvin, San Diego, Calif., Paul Moss, Arnold, Md., Kevin Thomsen and wife Elizabeth, Austin, Texas. In addition to the loss felt by the family, Rebecca will be missed eternally by Aunts, Uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, and many, many loving friends. Rebecca was cremated. Interment and memorial services shall be determined later. Entrusted to the care of Baca's Funeral Chapels of Deming, 811 S. Gold Avenue. Phone: 546-9671.
