Reba S. Jarrell

Harrington - Reba S Jarrell passed from this life on October 20, 2014 at Bayhealth at Kent General Hospital. Reba was born in Harrington, Del.on May 29, 1934 to the late Norman S Smith and Pauline (Wisseman) Smith. Mrs. Jarrell had worked as an Optometric Technician and Office Manager for Halpern Eye Care. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Reba was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, participated in events at the Frederica Senior Center and enjoyed playing bridge at the Milford Senior Center. She loved to travel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Walter Norris Jarrell, sister Lillian Smith, half-brother Ralph Smith and sister-in-law Patsy Killen Smith. Mrs. Jarrell is survived by her daughter, Lisa Nichols and husband John of Atlanta, Ga., brother Marvin Smith of Felton, nephew Marvin M Smith Jr and Jerry Todgenhagen of Orlando, Fla. and brother-in-law Jay Jarrell of Denton, Md. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2014, in the Chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, Main Street, Felton where friends may call at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Greenwood Mennonite Cemetery in Greenwood, Del. Flowers will be accepted. The family suggests donations can be sent to Susan G Komen Foundation, Attention: Donor Relations & Services, PO Box 650309, Dallas, TX 75265-0309.
