DOVER - Reba M. Summers Fullman, affectionately known as "Aunt Reba" departed this life at home on Dec. 18, 2012. She was born on July 8,1917 in Dover Delaware to the late Walter L Summers, Sr. and Clara Mae (Robinson) Summers. In 1938 she was united in holy matrimony to William Fullman, Jr. In her early twenties, Reba moved to Philadelphia, Pa. where she worked for the City of Philadelphia for twenty-five years, as a Licensed Practical Nurse, retiring in 1979. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Philadelphia, PA for thirty-five years, where she served as Deaconess. After retiring, she relocated back to Dover, Delaware, where she worked as a Foster Grandparent at John S. Charlton School in Camden, Delaware and Dover Educational and Community Center in Dover, Delaware. In 1980 she reunited with Zion A.M.E. Church in Camden. De where she was the Pianist for 32 yrs. She was a loyal dedicated church worker. In addition, she served as Sunday School Teacher, Trustee, and Missionary. At age 95, she still sponsored her favorite church fundraiser, The Annual Summers' Family and Friends Day", held each August. She is well known for her delicious home cooked food and warm hospitality. Her favorite scripture is Psalms 23:1 and her favorite hymns are "We Are Our Heavenly Fathers Children" and "Just a Closer Walk With Thee". She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter L. and Clara M. Summers; her loving husband, William Fullman, Jr.; three brothers, Walter Jr., Clifford, and Ervin Summers; and five sisters, Pearl Brown, Mildred Gilbert, Louvenia Andrews, Lillie George, and Blanche Baynard. She is immediately survived by Virginia E. Harris of Dover, Del., Jacqueline Malbon (Harold) of Virginia Beach, Va., Ronald Summers (Faye), Long Bch, Calif., Rev. Donald Gilbert (Mary),Wilmington, Del, Calvin Brown (Coni), Philadelphia, Pa., Charles Brown, Jr., Philadelphia Pa., Walter Gilbert (Bonnie), Dover, Del, Eugene Baynard, Myrtle Beach, S.C., John Baynard, Dover, Del., Rev. Francine Gilbert- Lewis(Byron), Dover, Del., Michael Brown, Philadelphia, Pa., , Pearl Baynard, Lake Forest, Calif., Paul Brown, Philadelphia, Pa., and Wayne Jackson, Wyoming, Del.; three sisters-in-Iaws, Marthena Summers and Marie Montgomery, Dover, Del., Nancy Tait, Springfield, Mo.; and a host of other nieces, nephews, and family; a special cousin, Lorraine Harris, who picked her up for Church every Sunday; her extended family, the Scott family of Harrington, Del.; and three special friends, Ludell Stowe of Falcon Crest, Pa., Margaret Camile of Kenton, Del. and Mary Cash of Smyrna, Del. A public viewing will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2012 at Zion Baptist Church, 20 Center St. Camden, DE. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012 at First Pilgrim Baptist Church 27 S. Caesar Rodney Ave. Camden, DE; where friends may call two hours prior to service.
