DOVER - Raymond C. Benson of Dover died Thursday, March 15, 2007, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital. He battled a lengthy illness. He was 48.
Mr. Benson was born Oct. 26, 1958, in Dover, son of the late Fred and Viola Benson.
He was educated in the Capital School District.
Mr. Benson enjoyed hanging out with the boys and working on cars. He did many odd jobs to earn his living until his health failed. He enjoyed family outings and barbecues. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by a brother, Frederick W. Benson Jr.; two sisters, Diane E. Evans and Laura M. Waltz; a devoted cousin raised by parents, Shirley M. Benson, all of Dover; aunts, Elsie Harding of Baltimore, Doris Jeter of Roanoke, Va., Catherine Hogans of Vineland, N.J., Carrie Moses of Frederica, Mary Benson and Dorothy Williams, both of Dover; an uncle, John Benson of Dover; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Services and burial will be private.
