Raymond Andrew Rudd

Raymond Andrew Rudd passed away surrounded by his loving family on Monday, June 6, 2016. Mr. Rudd was born in Darlington, Md., the son of the late Albert D. and Mary (Alder) Rudd. Mr. Rudd served his country proudly serving in the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy and also the U.S. Air Force Reserves, serving in the Vietnam War. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren especially bow hunting with his granddaughters. Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, were four sisters and one brother. Mr. Rudd is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Mary Ann Rudd; five children; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; two sisters; and his cat "missy sissy". There will be a Masonic Service on Monday, June 13, 2016 at 6:45 p.m. in the chapel of Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave, Wyoming; where friends and family may call from 4 to 6:45 p.m. Funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. Burial with military honors will take place at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Delaware Veterans Cemetery, Bear. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 20165 Office Circle, Georgetown, DE, 19947. Online condolences may be sent to www.pippin funeralhome.com.
