Randolph 'Rudy' Gonzalez, 61
HARRINGTON - Randolph "Rudy" Gonzalez, Harrington, died Tuesday, May 6, 2008, in Bayhealth-Milford Memorial, Milford. He was 61.
He was born in Isabella, Puerto Rico, to the late Alexander and Genera Gonzalez Sr.
Mr. Gonzalez was a maintenance worker for the New York City Housing Authority for over 30 years.
In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and going to the Harrington Slots.
He enjoyed taking care of his yard, swimming in his pool, and taking care of his three dogs.
Mr. Gonzalez also loved to spend time with his grandchildren and spoiled them every chance he got.
He will be remembered as a loving husband, good father, and proud grandfather.
Mr. Gonzalez never knew a stranger, would talk to anyone, and would give you the shirt off of his back. He was always there if you needed help.
He was preceded in death by a brother, David Gonzalez.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Linda Gonzalez of Harrington; daughters, Tina M. Birch of Felton, and Amy A. Gonzalez of Queens, N.Y.; brothers, Alexander Gonzalez Jr. of Riverhead, N.Y., and Nelson Gonzalez of Long Island, N.Y.; sisters, Diane Ruiz of Hopesville, N.Y., Madeline Martinez of Flushing, N.Y., and Noelia Rodriguez of Woodhaven, N.Y.; and grandchildren, Devin, Jeremy, and Joshua Burch.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Harrington.
Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Friday in Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South Dupont Highway, Harrington.
Interment will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
