MILFORD - Ralph Duval Hall, of Milford, died Tuesday, May 20, 2008, in Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, Md. He was 83.
He was born in Milford, the son of the late George H. and Edith Rea (Watson) Hall.
Ralph served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1946 aboard the U.S. Martin DE30 in World War II.
After his tour of duty in the Navy, he graduated from Milton High School in 1946.
He worked for I.G. Burton in Milford for 32 years from 1946 to 1978.
For the next 13 years, Ralph worked for Danny Roe and Sons from 1978 to 1991.
He was a Master Mason of Temple Lodge No. 9, Grand Lodge, A.F. and A.M. of Delaware, a member of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Evergreen Forest No. 49, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 6483 and the American Legion Post 3.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Chadda Davidson Hall in 2004; and his sister, Edith Niblett.
He is survived by his two daughters, Sharon Horsey and her husband Rick of Dover and Cindy Collins and her husband Kenny of Milford; four grandchildren, Amy West and her husband Michael of Middletown, Ryan Horsey and his wife Joy of Smyrna, Shelby Collins of Charlotte, N.C., and Shawn Collins and his fiance' Alaena Kollock of Milford; great-grandchildren, Riley Horsey, Paige, Mack and Landon West.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford, where friends may call after 11 a.m.
Interment will be in Milford Community Cemetery, Milford.
Contributions may be made to Calvary United Methodist Church, 301 S.E. Front St., Milford, DE 19963.
