Police: Clayton man arrested for three business burglaries

DOVER — A 53-year-old Clayton man was arrested for three burglaries following an incident Friday, Dover Police spokesperson Master Cpl. Ryan Schmid said.

Authorities said that officers were called to Cinnabon, 1051 North DuPont Highway, at 9:49 p.m. for the report of a break-in. Scott Ottinger was taken into custody without incident upon their arrival, Cpl. Schmid said.

Police said investigation connected Mr. Ottinger to break-ins at the business on Sept. 7 and another at the Countrie Eatery, 950 N. State Street, on Sept. 20.

Mr. Ottinger was charged with third-degree burglary (three counts), theft under $,1500 (three counts) and criminal mischief (two counts). He was released on $7,700 unsecured bond,
